As chairman of several IEC working groups and as member of the management board of the DLMS User Association he contributed substantially to the foundation of international standards supporting the introduction of smart metering and smart grid systems. Thomas Schaub is one of the founders of the IDIS association, an industry group committed to provide interoperable smart metering systems and components. Dr. Schaub holds a PhD degree in technical sciences of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich.
