Landis+Gyr Norway participates in the 2014 TU Smart Grid Summit

The conference, held on March 20 in Oslo, focused on the e-smart opportunities that come along with the introduction of electronic/smart electricity metering by 2019, as required by Norwegian legislation. Micro-generation, changing consumption patterns and in Norway especially EV charging, will set new challenges to the grid. 

As a solution to the evolving requirements, Landis+Gyr introduced our joint smart grid offering with Toshiba. Our integrated smart grid concept combines AMI and network digitalization. It provides powerful tools to manage and automate the LV/MV network in a dynamic environment where reactions to changes in demand and supply must be right-time and real-time. Furthermore, our solution provides accurate information on network failures, enabling the development of a self-healing grid.
