The latest version of Gridstream Converge software, version 3.9, was introduced in May 2015 and version 3.10 is due in January 2017. Today, we announce that Landis+Gyr Converge version 3.9.5 is available for production use, with no restrictions.
Landis+Gyr has launched the latest version of its Gridstream Converge software platform for smart metering and billing. Gridstream Converge is a scalable and flexible automatic meter reading system with comprehensive support of both Landis+Gyr and 3rd party industrial, commercial and grid meters.
Between September 2013 and November 2014, Landis+Gyr worked closely with Polish distribution network operator (DNO) TAURON Distribution S.A. to expand their Gridstream® CONVERGE advanced metering management (AMM) system to five branches of the utility in the cities of Jelenia Góra, Legnica, Opole, Wałbrzych and Wrocław.
A major driver for a smart metering rollout is to enhance distribution grid operation efficiency, especially the optimization of internal processes. This, and the need for improved revenue protection, were the primary motivation of the Turkish utility SAKARYA ELEKTRİK DAĞITIM A.Ş. (SEDAS) to initiate their rollout, which ultimately led to the Landis+Gyr ICG Solutions Centre of Competence in Prague, Czech Republic, delivering to them the proven Gridstream® Converge solution for advanced industrial, commercial and grid metering.
