Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) service operations have attained the ISO / IEC 20000 certification. This achievement underpins Landis+Gyr’s strategic focus to further enhance its service capabilities and managed services business, as well as promote best practice within the industry.
ISO / IEC 20000 is the first international standard for service management and specifies an integrated set of processes from customer and supplier management to service reporting and change management, covering all aspects that materially contribute to the effective delivery of services to customers.
As one of only a few certified providers in the industry, Landis+Gyr continues to raise the bar for the services it provides to utilities across the EMEA region, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Metering as a Service (MaaS), and IoT Connectivity as a Service. These services enable the efficient operations of a modern smart grid and provide utilities with data from the grid and its users, to ensure network stability and high quality of service.
With the recently awarded service contract with Fluvius, Landis+Gyr will extend the number of managed metering points in EMEA to 6 million over time. Worldwide, Landis+Gyr currently manages more than 15 million metering points under service contracts.
“The ISO / IEC 20000 certification was the obvious next step for us,” says Juha Torstensson, Vice President Service Operations EMEA at Landis+Gyr. “Not only are we responding to the needs of the market to follow international standards, but also moving ahead of the competition in a sector where such certifications are still rare. For our customers, it means they can rely on state-of-the-art service delivery in addition to our 20-year experience in managed services, our strong service platform and highly skilled experts.”
